Mines the opposite problem the vacuum seal won't take the water out , it just sits and swirls in toilet bowl but doesn't drain it's not clogged. It fills just fine what do I do

I had the exact same leak in my front bathroom. I rebuilt the tank 2 times and could NOT get the leak to stop so I replaced the toilet with a Koehler too. What a pain in the ass. I had to replace the flange because it was rusted out and was just glued on,no screws into the floor. Lazy plumber.

Are those 'Clam' rings OK to use underneath the head of a PVC flange? The metal ring on mine rotted off, all that's left is the PVC hub. (It's on the 2nd floor so not in concrete.)

I just replaced the canister in my mothers shower and adjusted as far as it would go to hot and its only look warm.. but once i turn the cold water off in the basement the hot gets super hot????

. I’ve seen the replacement of all the tank parts easily. And you should never use double wax. He did do an excellent job job of cleaning before installing.

Absolute nightmare of a scenario. This happened to me last week actually, and I had to do exactly what you said. Take apart the aerators and some supply line hoses on every single fixture I have in the house to bleed out all the loose resin beads that spread ALL OVER my internal plumbing. The list included all faucets, toilets, shower heads, bath tub faucets, dishwasher, and washer. It took me hours to complete the job, and once all that was done, I then had to turn my attention to the hot water and flush my two water heaters to get whatever I could out of those as well. I'm so glad I am fairly experienced at plumbing and was able to do this all myself. A plumber would have easily charged me $3K for the 4-5hrs of time it took to get as much resin out of the system as possible. Sadly though, and I'm sure you can attest to this, no matter what you do, there will still be a few excess resin beads floating around for the foreseeable future. Wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Truly a horrible mess.

Hi... do you have to drain the entire tank before you replace the shut off valve?? I know of course the main water has to be shut off....

Gah. I had flashbacks to when I moved into my house and had to snake the kitchen drain. The old lady that lived here washed her hair in the sink. The stuff that came out was solid, black, and hairy. Smelled SO bad.
